Painter. Lives and works in Madrid.
Studied drawing and painting at the academy of Eduardo Peña in Madrid. She also completed her training in model-making at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios and attended the drawing workshops of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. In 1987 she was a member of the artistic group Ruedo Ibérico, created by the painter José Caballero. In 2006 she began to develop works based on photographs using digital techniques.
Throughout her career she has received various awards and distinctions such as the Vázquez Díaz Painting Prize (1986), the Gold Medal at the Third International Cairo Biennial (1989), the National Printmaking Prize of the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Printmaking (2002) and the Castilla y León Prize for the Arts (2015).
Her work can be found in leading collections and museums such as the MNCARS, MUSAC, MuCAC Málaga, the Juan March Foundation, the Antonio Pérez Foundation in Cuenca, the Julius Baer Bank Collection in Geneva and the International Museum of Graphic Art in Cairo.
