Lauren Moffatt in Belfast

April 2, 2025

Laure Moffatt will be sharing her work-in-progress presentations of her new work Chorcorallium. Chorcorallium is a speculative game engine-based experience set on the ocean floor, where AI-generated cold water coral reef species sing among the ruins of human industry and the foundations of offshore wind farms. Developed through world-building workshops with communities in Belfast, the project explores the intersection of marine regeneration, collective imagination, and artificial intelligence.

The first presentation is tomorrow April 2nd, on a big immersive screen in the capture lab at Queen’s University as part of a presentation of Hive choir’s recent activity. Free entry.

On Thursday April 3rd she will be staging a worldbuilding workshop for the creation of new coral assets at Digital Arts Studios. Following the workshop she will be presenting some process materials and a screening in the evening as part of Late Night Art.
