On the occasion of the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Statute of Autonomy of the Community of Madrid, Fundación Canal presents this exhibition that highlights the social phenomenon that the 1980s represented in the region in the social, cultural, artistic and economic fields... An explosion of creativity that goes beyond its famous "Movida". The exhibition speaks, through artistic creation, of the importance of Madrid in the genesis of today's Spanish society and its openness to new times.
A look at the music, cinema, art, politics, fashion and life of this fertile, convulsive and exciting period, which points to the milestones and iconography of an entire generation through key elements of those years such as photographs, paintings, newspapers, magazines, posters, fanzines, album covers, advertisements and television clips.
More than 300 works from private and public collections make up this visual chronicle in which the work of more than 80 great creators of the period, including photographers, painters, graphic designers, etc., can be seen.
